To develop an individualized treatment plan, your physical therapist will perform a physical examination, get a better understanding of your medical history and ask some questions about your health and well-being. Once your examination is complete and a treatment plan has been formed, your physical therapist can begin working with you toward recovery.

A typical appointment is finished after about one hour. At the end of your appointment, you will probably receive instructions for exercises and stretches to perform at home. It’s important to follow these instructions to achieve the best results in your recovery.
